I was browsing the archives of Ms. Ala's blog, when I read a post about the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown and I can't actually help but to post something about it, like a continuation of some sort. Anyway, honestly, when I first heard about it, I was quite afraid and skeptic about it. For the reason that I thought it may devastate the church and the faith of the people. But then, years passed, well, I grew more mature and open minded, that I actually craved for more knowledge, to know something that I'm afraid of, to face the very fear that I have. It took a year before this craving was satisfied. I didn't get hold of the book yet and all I had was a documentary about it (during this year, the movie was about to be shown) and it did nothing really, except that I knew about this Chateau, blah, blah. Then,a year later, a friend of mine lend me the book. I thought, finally, ahhh! Yes! The book was just great. It wasn't that bad really, those people who said that it may devastate the church and the people's fate are those who don't have a sturdy faith at all. They are the one's who lack open mindedness. And I can't help but to say that Dan Brown is the best, he can make a fiction out of facts and that is just simply great. Not only that, I honestly learned a number of things from his books, after reading Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons(looking forward to read Digital Fortress *wink*) Oh yeah, Ms. Ala, Angels and Demons is really better than DVC, btw (I know you already decided about it, just want to agree to those who said that it was *wink*)

Just a thought
I was at the house of "Tita" (well, that's what mom and dad would call her) an hour ago I guess and they were talking about how expensive the shots are like Anti-Hepa, Anti-Tetano blah, blah. They even compared how much was the price before from the price now. But what really caught my attention was the fact that those poor people who can't afford the expensive shot for their kids are actually those who can fight against disease, as if sanay na sila sa dirt and all. Well, it's quite weird and ironic, don't you think?

On Maricris
I've been watching PBB Season 2 and I can't help but to comment on what happened to Maricris. She had been forced evicted because of violating a rule, which was about violence.
Anyway...
I just want to say that I like her, even if she can't conrtol her emotions, even if she jokingly said that she could actually kill Bea, and even she seemed a pyschopath. Why? Because she had been real throughout her stay in the house. She admitted that she can't actually control her emotions and that is something, not everyone of us has the courage to do so.
She's one of the real housemates I've seen. So even if she was already evicted, the fact is that she lived by the very prinicple of the game, ipakita kung sino ka man talaga...

Good, clean fun (as what Sir Alex would always say)
"Tignan mo, hindi tayo pupunta sa mga bars, wala tayong nightlife, but we're definitely havin' fun."- Eumi.
Napaisip ako dun sa statement na yun. And yes, I so agree to her. We don't have any nightlife, but everyday, we have fun, we are still happy and fun-loving people minus the smell of smoke and hang over.
I noticed that people who don't have any nightlife are stereotyped as boring people. Remarked as Santa or Santo pero in a sarcastic way. And that's not true, jackass lang nagsasabi nun.
Anyway...
Whenever I think of nightlife, I always think that it's not for me. Maybe, after graduation, I would start havin' that kind of life. Pero, when I think of it, there's this little voice that tells me, You don't need it. You're already havin' fun. And then, I would just shrug off the idea of actually havin' a nightlife. After all, I'm contented with my good, clean fun. :)

Criminal Minds
A friend of mine stole a bottle of nail polish without bein' caught. The price of the nail polish was 17.50pesos. I was shocked when she told me the other day that she did it. I mean, why would she steal, anyway, when she could actually afford it? I asked her why and she told me that she would just like to prove to herself that she could actually "do it". That she could actually steal from a department store without bein' caught. She even told me about the guy in the movie "Inside Man", who robbed a bank because he would also like to prove to himself that he could execute it and get away from it. I shook my head and laughed, I told myself, that's what impulsiveness can do.
I have a powertrippers in school. Yeah, powertrippers. They are really annoying, they keep on teasing me to their friend who happened to be my ex. I don't know why they are doing it. Well, maybe, they thought I still like their friend which I could tell into their bitchy faces that NO, I don't fancy their friend anymore (Who would still like that guy, anyway?!). Well, whatever their reasons are, I don't care, I just want their faces out of my ass. Well, I was really pissed off that time that I was eventually planning on how to get on 'em. Then, I thought of their van (not that good-looking, believe me.). I was thinking of crashing the windshield or flat their tires or punch on them on the face just once to set the record straight. I told this plan of mine to a friend (he's actually our Guidance Councilor way back in high school). So, what do you think was his reaction? He called it, "Criminal Thinking". I laughed but deep inside, yeah it was a criminal thought. I defended that it was just a stupid thought out of annoyance. He,again, reminded me that I should not stoop down on their level, I would just be satisfying them and I would turn out to be a shallow person who will cause my reputation over their shallow entertainment. And that hit me again, that no matter how annoyed I am, I just have to be cool and let them say whatever they want to say. In the end of the day, they would never get what they want, to see me totally annoyed and affected.
